Air Ministry Mahogany Chest of Drawers 
The newest addition to our shop is a beautiful example of vintage military furniture - This deeply flamed red mahogany Air Ministry chest of drawers 
A simple & sleek design throughout, made from high quality mahogany & graced with gorgeous flamed detail. Given a smooth polished finish which manifests a seamless appearance. Catching light & eyes effortlessly this is an essential piece of furniture full of not only history but style too. 
Chest made up of 5 drawers, 3 large drawers with 2 smaller drawers at the top of the piece. Interiors are all mahogany lined with dovetail joints. Handles of drawers are also mahogany adding to the overall quality of this piece. Plinth base completes the design.
The Air Ministry existed between the years of 1918 - 1964 dealing with the affairs of the Royal Air Force. Indications show that this chest was made & used by the Ministry in the mid to later years of existence. 
The chest also has the Ministry’s crest stamped on the back along with number & lettering T. 8/60 RW. Believed to be a training regiment. Another special addition to this chest is the photograph of the regiment the chest was assigned to. Photograph included in the listing images.
