Early 20th Century Chinese Carved Camphor Wood Chest

Recently restored in our workshop- This large Chinese camphor wood chest. 
This beautifully detailed chest originated from the early 20th Century, made to store blankets & linens. Fantastic quality with the unique camphor grain, this chest also has enough size to be used as a coffee table in more modern settings. 
This essential hardwearing piece of furniture sports a rich colour & an eye catching polished finish - giving it the best of both worlds. 
When closed the chest is secured by a large decorated brass strap handle. Carved floral banding on the top & front of chest. Carved clamshell handles on each side make this heavy chest easier to manoeuvre. 
Chest lid is strengthened by brass hinges when open. Inside the chest there is a removable storage shelf as well as enough room to store all your sentimental items.
