19c Golden Walnut Desk Chair

The newest addition to our shop - This beautifully crafted hand carved mid 1800’s solid walnut desk chair.

Walnut frame has been restored & polished to highlight it’s magnificent quality. Due to it’s highly sought after characteristics and frame craftsmanship we believe this chair is associated with the famous makers Gillows chairs that were produced in the early 1800’s. The lettering on the hind legs of the chair also suggest this. Intricate carvings on the arms, legs and mid section pillars catch the light at all angles. The woodwork has a delightful golden tone, another indication of it’s timeless excellence.

Frame is perfectly complimented by its newly reupholstered soft furnishings, covered in a luxurious blue buttoned Warwick suede. Giving this chair unrivalled comfort & feel as well as the aesthetic appeal. It really is as comfortable as it appears.

A truly special piece of furniture that owns the unique levels of allure to transcend all the way from the 19th century to the modern day.
